I was born in a Christian family and brought up in a church community, but it was at the age of twelve when I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior. When I was fifteen, my family moved to the United States. I felt the call to ministry while I was in college.

I pursued a theological education and served in various ministries in Korean-American churches. During this time, Jesus blessed me with my wife, Carol, and two children, Karis and Kaden.

In 2007, I felt the deep conviction about gospel-centered missional church and evangelism. I recently was among the first graduating class of Mars Hill Church's Pastor Training Program, where I decided to press forward with the charge to further the gospel movement in the diverse community of Federal Way.

The Vision & Mission

Mars Hill Federal Way desires to live for Jesus to bless the diverse communities of Federal Way the mid-Puget Sound area. Lord willing, the campus will serve as a hub for multi-cultural ministries and missions for the glory of God.

Through campus/church planting in neighboring cities and international cities - in South Korea and Japan - Mars Hill Federal Way hopes to reach:
2,000 people by 2011
10,000 people by 2019
